please note: adds are conducted on Tue, Fri and Sun after 9pm EST. removals are done with adds. please plan accordingly and make all requests in a timely manner. all celebrities must be 18 years old or older and must have a credible imdb, wiki or similar credentials to be accepted. we do not accept youtube, tiktok or other such stars.

• have a username for your celebrity with a variation of their real name, or stage name, without additional characters.
• upload at least one icon.
• make sure your userinfo is visible (do not noembed) and cleared of additional nonmember journals.
• have both a future dated (2022 or later) friends only post and a separate screened post for ooc contact pinned to the top of your journal - these posts must be recent (i.e. you cannot be timestamped past 3 weeks when applying).
• submit a minimum of 2 writing samples - one must be an entry.
• notify us in your application if you are a returning member, a challenge or an override:
  • returning members must have a recent update dependent on the reason for removal. if you were due effort, you must update with effort. if you went past 3 weeks, a placeholder will suffice. if you have been gone longer than 9 weeks, you must submit examples.
  • challenges are limited to 2 per role for 3 total applications.
  • while you may question us about an override at any time, the member in question must still be up for override at the time of removals.

• introductions must be posted in ~quotes within 3 days of being added to the community. additionally at least 50% of the comments received on your intro must be replied to within 1 weeks' time.
• your journal must be updated every 3 weeks. we require effort posts every 6 weeks therefore every other update may be a placeholder if you choose so.
  • written entries, playlists, mood boards or collages, and html heavy updates or a mixture of these things all constitutes effort. while we do not have a word count on written entries, please use your best judgement as we are looking for more than just a few lines but you may feel free to ask us if you are unsure if your post qualifies as effort.
  • placeholders may be backdated and if they are backdated, they may have comments disabled. if comments are disabled, please make sure your date is visible whether it be on your journal layout or in your subject line.
• comments on all posts that are on the friend's page must have comments enabled whether it is an effort post or a placeholder. you must reply to a minimum of 50% of your comments within 1 weeks' time for all posts on the friends page (this includes subcomms only if you are submitting your subcomm post for update pass points). screened comments are allowed but not on consecutive updates.
• journals must have their friends list updated at least once every three weeks via the add button.

you may override a member if they fail to meet any of the above activity requirements. any member on hiatus or extension cannot be overridden until after their request expires. please feel free to inquire about an override in the dropbox.

• every member is allowed a hiatus for up to 6 weeks every 6 months. it may be broken down in anywhere from 1 week to 6 week increments as needed.
• public activity is not allowed on a hiatus which means you cannot update your journal, change your layout, userinfo or icons, or participate in community wide chat rooms, games or movie nights. your hiatus will be immediately revoked, and you will be removed, if you do any of these before updating with the necessary effort to return from hiatus. you may respond to comments in private customs, private (one on one) wire chats or anything in your ooc screened post without penalty.
• extensions are granted for effort posts only, meaning you cannot post a placeholder or an update pass immediately after requesting an extension. if you do so, you may be at risk for removal.
• the length of an extension is 1 day (default if no amount is specified) to 3 days max.
• if you frequently request an extension (for example, every time you are due effort) then we reserve the right to deny your request. we understand things happen but these are meant to be for that rare instance when you need more time.
• hiatuses or extensions will not be granted if your journal is already marked at 3 weeks at the time of your request.
• update passes may not be used immediately before or after returning from a hiatus or extension - you must post effort when returning from a hiatus or extension.
• an update pass does not take the place of your effort post; it only extends when your effort post is due by 3 more weeks. for further information, please read our update pass rules here.

• we reserve the right to reject an application if we think you are not a good fit for ~publisher, however sometimes rejection is simply because you did not follow all the steps in the application process. please make sure to read and follow everything in the application post.
• no matter the reason, we do not respond to inquiries as to why someone was rejected.
• please do not cross the ic/ooc line. always utilize screened posts for initial ooc contact.
• there is a no tolerance policy for harassment. if you are being harassed, please message us with as much information as possible, and screen caps if you have them. we take this very seriously and will try to resolve this swiftly for everyone involved.
• mistakes happen, but plagiarism is a removable offense. please make sure to credit your sources accordingly.
